Jean Banas  Acrylic Daytona Beach Artist

Banas is a well-established Florida artist living and working in the community of New Smyrna Beach.

Jean, at age 92,  is still expanding her repertoire as an exuberant and energetic abstract expressionist painter. She has participated in many independent study workshops with Steve Aimone at the Atlantic Center for the Arts; has participated in other independent residencies at that campus,; and has also been sponsoring yearly painting retreats at the Atlantic Center for the Arts.nJean was honored with a 90th year celebratory, collaborative exhibit, at the  Art Leagueb of Daytona  Beach, in Daytona Beach, Florida, and Jean's paintings can be seen in art group exhibits at the Ormond Museum and Gardens, in Ormond Beach;, Florida;  at the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Daytona Beach, Florida., and at the Artists Workshop  Art Shows in New Smyrna Beach, Florida

Jean Banas' paintings have been accepted  into national  juries exhibitions in Museum and

University galleries in: Los Angeles , California, Washington, D.C.,  Fayetteville, North Carolina, Tyler, Texas, Ellen, Texas, and in Valdosta, Georgia.     

  Her work is in the permanent  collections of the Lake Eustis Museum of Art, Eustis, FL, and

  the Art and History Museum, in  Maitland, Florida.
