Throughout my nearly forty year career as a CPA and financial manager, the latent photographer in me remained limited to recording vacations as well as bits and pieces of personal interest. Family and friends, particularly my wife and best friend Gail who is a fantastic watercolorist and mixed media artist, had always encouraged me to do something more than just file my photos in a drawer or album. As such, I have now turned my avocation into a vocation. I have gone from being a picture taker, to becoming a fine art photographer, including abstract photography and using photography to create conceptual art. Landscape and scenic subject matter as well as wildlife are my primary photographic interests. Peripheral to photography, but related to the artistic world, I make basic gallery frames for other artists, custom wooden cradles for use as a painting or encaustic surface, plus I make wood display pedestals for sculpture and other 3-D art. I now reside along with my wife Gail and dog Stella in Port Orange, Florida.
